How to use
- Choose the images to watermark. You can add several at once.
- Pick the watermark type. For text, type it and set the size and colour; for a logo, choose a PNG, JPG or WebP file on your device and set its size.
- Choose the position (centre, corner, edge, repeating pattern or custom), opacity, rotation and margin; the preview updates straight away. For “Custom”, drag the preview or type the horizontal and vertical position (%).
- Press [Add watermark], then download the results one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Example
To put your shop name on several product photos, select them all, type the name, set the position to “Bottom right” and the opacity to about 50%, then press [Add watermark]. To discourage copying, a “Repeating pattern” with a -30° rotation across the whole photo works well. To fit a size afterwards use Resize Images, and to make files smaller use Compress Images.
Choosing a position
| Position | Good for |
|---|---|
| Bottom right / bottom left | A credit that does not cover the photo |
| Centre | Drafts and samples that should be clearly marked |
| Repeating pattern | Product or artwork photos that must not be reused |
| Custom | An exact spot when every photo has the same empty area |
The watermark is drawn into the image pixels, so it cannot be removed after saving. Keep your originals separately.
Supported formats, limits and privacy
- Input: JPG, PNG, WebP (HEIC only in browsers that support it). Output: JPG, PNG, WebP (only formats your browser can save are shown). Up to 30 images at a time, up to 30MB per file, about 50 megapixels.
- Logo: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10MB and about 25 megapixels. A PNG with a transparent background stays transparent. SVG is not supported.
- The result is saved at the same resolution as the original. The watermark size and margin scale with each photo, so photos of different sizes get the same proportions (text size is a % of the short side, logo size a % of the width).
- The watermark is placed on the photo with its saved rotation (EXIF orientation) applied.
- Text is drawn with the fonts installed on this device, so the same text can look slightly different on another device.
- The original EXIF metadata (location, camera details and so on) is not copied to the result. ToolMoru details are written to the file properties (JPG and PNG: Software, CreatorTool and the site address; WebP: CreatorTool and the site address), but nothing is drawn on the image except the watermark you set.
- Images, text and logos are processed only in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server or stored.
Frequently asked questions
Can I repeat the watermark across the whole photo?
Choose “Repeating pattern” as the position and the watermark repeats across the photo in staggered rows. A rotation of about -30° gives a diagonal pattern, and the spacing setting controls how dense it is.
Does it land in the same place on photos of different sizes?
Yes. The position is based on a reference point (centre, corner and so on) plus a margin ratio, and the size is a ratio of the photo, so it sits in the same place at the same proportion on every photo. You can switch between photos in the preview to check.
Is a ToolMoru mark added to my photo?
No. Only the text or logo you choose is drawn on the image. As with the other image tools, the ToolMoru name and address are written only to the file properties (metadata).
