How to use
- Choose the images to print. Use the ↑ ↓ buttons to change their order.
- Set the paper (A4 by default), orientation, number of images per page, margin and gap, and the preview below updates right away.
- To print each image several times, increase "Copies of each image".
- Click [Create PDF] and download it, then print it from a PDF viewer at "Actual size (100%)".
Example
To print 4 photos of your child on one A4 page, set 4 images per page, a 10 mm margin and a 5 mm gap. To make several small photos for a desk, upload one photo, set 9 images per page and 9 copies, and one page is filled with the same photo. To combine several PDFs into one document, continue with Merge PDF.
Print quality guide
To fill a whole A4 page sharply, the image should be at least about 2480×3508px (300 dpi). With 4 images per page, each cell is about A6 size, so around 1240×1754px is enough. A low-resolution image placed large may print blurry. This tool only shrinks images that are larger than necessary when putting them into the PDF, and it does not enlarge small images.
Supported formats, limits and privacy
- Paper: A4 (default), A5, B5 and Letter, in portrait or landscape. You can place 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 12 images on one page.
- "Show whole image" fits the image inside its cell without cropping, and "Fill the cell" keeps the aspect ratio and cuts off the overflowing edges (you can see the cropped area in the preview).
- The cell size is calculated automatically from the paper, margin, gap and number of images. There is no feature yet for printing at an exact real-world size such as 3.5×4.5 cm.
- When printing, turn off "Fit to page" or "Shrink" in the printer settings and print at "Actual size" so the PDF keeps its size. Every printer has a non-printable area (usually 3–5 mm), so a margin of at least 5 mm is recommended.
- Images are downscaled to at most 300 dpi at their placed size before going into the PDF. PNG files are stored as PNG for sharpness and photos as high-quality JPEG, so the PDF can become large.
- Input: JPG, PNG, WebP (HEIC only in browsers that support it). Up to 30 MB per file and up to 30 files. The total number of placements, including copies, is at most 500 at a time. All processing happens inside your browser, and nothing is uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
I want to fill the page with the same image.
Select one image and increase "Copies of each image". For example, with 1 photo, 6 images per page and 6 copies, the same photo is placed 6 times on one page.
The printed size differs from what I see on screen.
If "Fit to page" or "Shrink" is turned on in the printer dialog, the PDF is printed smaller. Set the scaling to "Actual size (100%)".
The edges of my photo are cut off.
They are cut off when you choose "Fill the cell". To avoid cropping, choose "Show whole image (no cropping)".
