- Select one PDF file. All of its pages appear as thumbnail cards.
- Use the [←] and [→] buttons to move a page one step earlier or later. With a mouse you can also drag a card to the spot you want.
- Delete a page you do not need with the [✕] button. If you made a mistake, press [Reset] to go back to the start.
- Click [Organize] and download the new PDF. The original file is not changed.
Example
Use it to remove blank pages from a scanned document and to put two swapped pages back in order. To join several files first, use Merge PDF, to pull out only the sections you need, use Extract & Split PDF Pages, and for pages scanned upside down, use Rotate PDF Pages.
Supported formats, limits and privacy
- Input: one PDF (up to 100 MB and 300 pages). For a longer document, split it first with Extract & Split PDF Pages. PDFs that are password-protected, have editing restrictions, or are damaged are rejected with a reason when you add them. This tool does not bypass protection.
- The thumbnails are made one at a time, starting with the pages that are on screen, by the component that draws PDFs (PDF.js). A page that cannot be drawn shows "No preview", but you can still move or delete it. Thumbnails are only for checking and are not included in the result PDF.
- If nothing has changed (the order is the same and nothing is deleted), you cannot run it, because re-saving would only remove annotations and bookmarks.
- The result is made the same way as Extract & Split PDF Pages. Text, images and shapes on the pages are copied as they are, and annotations that were visible on screen, such as form field values and stamps, remain only as the appearance saved in the PDF, as part of the page content. Interactive form features, notes, attached files, bookmarks, links within the document and document information (title, author, etc.) are removed from the result (links to external web addresses are kept), and digital signatures are not preserved. So that the content of a deleted page does not stay in the result file, connections to pages that were not kept are cut as well, and resources such as images and fonts that the kept pages do not use are left out.
- PDFs rejected for safety: PDFs whose unusual structure means we cannot guarantee that the content of deleted pages stays out; pages that use hidden layers (optional content) or whose layer visibility cannot be determined; PDFs whose decompressed size, number of objects or number of resources exceeds what this device can process safely; PDFs whose content is damaged so it cannot be checked to the end; PDFs whose processing takes longer than 10 seconds; and PDFs whose form values cannot be carried over exactly. When a PDF is rejected, no result is created and the reason is shown.
- Limitations: This tool does not guarantee the complete removal (sanitizing) of confidential information. The font subsets and character mappings (ToUnicode) used by the pages may contain the character set of the whole document, and the glyphs of fonts that store character shapes as drawings (Type3) and the shared symbol dictionary of scanned documents (JBIG2) may also remain. For non-public documents, check the result yourself before sharing it.
- All processing happens inside your browser, and files are not uploaded to a server. The PDF processor (qpdf, WebAssembly) and the component that draws PDFs (PDF.js) are downloaded from this site only, the first time you add a file in this tool, and the browser cache is used after that.
Frequently asked questions
Can I duplicate a page or insert pages from another PDF?
No. This tool only changes the order of the pages of one PDF and deletes pages. To join several PDFs, use Merge PDF first.
How do I move pages on a phone?
Tap the [←] and [→] buttons on a card to move it one step. Dragging and dropping is an extra feature for the mouse.
Can I also fix pages that are upside down?
This tool only handles order and deletion. Fix the direction with Rotate PDF Pages.
